Our Story
Leonora is the service centre for the mining, exploration and well-established pastoral industry. When visiting or passing through the historic northern Goldfields region, don't miss out on a stop at the Leonora Tourist and Information Centre for a wander down memory lane.
What We Do
Leonora Information Centre is where you will find all your need to know in regards to the historic Gwalia Museum and Village, along with maps and details of places in the region from Kalgoorlie in the south to Wiluna in the north, Mt Magnet in the west and Laverton and the Ngaanyatjarraku lands in the east.
Why choose Leonora Information Centre?
In 1896, Leonora was a small settlement of hessian and timber shacks. Within a few years, the growing town boasted many of the buildings on the Leonora Heritage Trail. The thriving town of Leonora grew from the resourcefulness of early gold prospectors and miners and the tenacity of pastoralists.
All details of attractions and things to do and see can be obtained at the Centre along with all your souvenirs, memorabilia, and other retail items available for purchase and brochures on all the regions in WA.
